"Would 100% recommend Lee. He was amazing with my reactive German Shepherd. He put us at ease right away and I saw progress at the first session. My dog went in barking as soon as she saw another dog and within the first session we were stood there with another dog in the room with us. Still lots of work to do but I'm finally seeing a light at the end with my dog. Lee was very thorough in explaining why we were doing what we were doing, soon understood exactly what to do to carry on the training at home. I feel very confident that I know what I'm doing now" - Katie Louise
"100% recommend Lee, Kian and their co-workers. I first contacted Lee around a year ago when I was having reactivity issues with Chilli, one of my border collies. I’d seen multiple other trainers and their methods had included bribing her attention with food and squirting her with a water bottle - none of this worked!
Unsurprisingly.. within a month of starting Lee’s classes there was a very noticeable change in her behaviour, not just around other dogs, but her general attitude towards me and training. I’m so much more comfortable taking her out now and I’ve even managed to take her away on holiday a couple of times, something I never thought would be possible. I also take my 12 month old pup to Lee and have done from the start.
Lee has helped me teach her to be balanced and calm from the start and her training is coming on brilliantly thanks to him. As we’re often told in lessons, training a puppy isn’t an 8 week course and that couldn’t be more true! She’s definitely still a working progress. But what made me write this review was this video I took of my 5 collies yesterday. Lee only helps me train two of my five dogs in lessons, but I apply what I learn to training all of my dogs. A year ago the thought of having all of them calmly chilling out whilst I work was a bit of a pipe dream, but now it’s my reality π They’ve finally learnt the art of doing nothing." - Charlotte R L Askey, St Helen's, Merseyside
"After numerous recommendations from other dog walkers, we were pointed in the direction of Lee. Our dog Plum was very reactive to other dogs in every situation, and we had no control when it came to walking on his lead. Plum had come to us from a dogs home with little information regarding his background. Within 10 minutes of our initial assessment, Lee had taken full leadership of Plum and proceeded to educate us on dog/human interactive behaviours while showing us how to handle plum in a safe, informative and positive way.
Plums continued to improve, and now, after his initial 1 to 1 assessments, both us and our dog are loving the Sunday morning group sessions. The classes keep you on your toes whilst giving your dog a positive outcome in a controlled environment. Kian was on hand to talk us through our first class and offered so much great advice. We can't stress how valuable the 1 to 1 assessment time was for us and our dog. Lee and his team are excellent, and we couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you βΊοΈ" - Francesca Paterniti
"Cannot recommend highly enough. I have a very reactive hyper French Bulldog. Lee came out to us. Literally 3 days ago my boy is a different dog already. I was at my wits end and Lee gave sound, professional, honest and effective advice. I’ll be honest tried everything until we met Lee. If you are struggling this is definitely the guy you need. Thanks so much" - Sonjia Clarkson "Teaching a puppy to switch off is so important and Lees puppy classes have helped my 15 week Doberman so much. After class yesterday she chilled out for an hour in a restaurant when out for a Fathers day meal - just taking in all the sights and sounds and not reacting. Would definitely recommend him as a dog trainer- I travel an hour to his classes and well worth it for the no-nonsense approach he has" - Jen Symms, Tarporley, Cheshire
"After 1 hour with Kian, our 5 month patterdale pup stopped barking at the other dogs around her and focused on us. We have been dreading walking her because she had started to bark and squeal at all dogs and some people we walk past. We now feel much more confident in handling Minnie in a safe but firm way to help us and her enjoy her walks more. Kian wants what’s best for the dog and his love for terriers definitely shows, which was great for us after not so great experiences elsewhere. We have a lot of work to do at home and on her walks but feel much happier and it’s all because of very simple changes and Kians understanding of her breed. Thanks so much!" - Tom & Danielle Swinscoe
"We have been going to Lee's puppy classes for the past few months and what we have learned has been invaluable. His teaching is structured and has a reason behind everything he says and does. Our puppy is now just over 6 months and the difference we have seen from the principles he has taught has made such a difference! We look forward to seeing how Willow progresses every week - cannot thank Lee and the team enough!!" - Lisa Glynn
"We thought training a puppy would be a walk in the park. Unexpectedly, our Mini Schnauzer, Heidi decided she was going to bark like mad at any dog that came into her sight. This behaviour started at a puppy training class that we did elsewhere - their solution was to set up barriers around her and isolate her from other dogs. After 4 weeks, we went home feeling deflated - holding a completion certificate but with no solution to our dog’s reactivity issue.
We were very lucky to find Professional Dog Advice & Training online. From the very first class, we knew we were in good hands. With about 20 dogs around, Heidi was at first uncontrollable, until the trainer stepped in and calmly instructed her. It was like a miracle, but also so simple - she just needed to be told what she could and couldn’t do.
Week after week, Heidi has made amazing progress. She now sits, lies down, and walks on a loose lead, even with other dogs nearby. Basically, this training works! If you have a puppy, don’t even think about going anywhere else.
The trainers have been brilliant with advice, reassurance and guidance and have been very generous with their time - we really owe them a lot. Thanks a million to Lee, Ian, Kian and the rest of the team at Keepers Cottage. Every day is a school day - see you next week!" - Fionn, Nicola & Heidi Keane, Liverpool
"Many thanks to Lee who put the time and effort into addressing my Cockopoo's reactivity. Not only did he give me the skills to deal with it but he also explained why it was happening. My dogs reactivity was really stressing me out and was causing me embarrassment so it's a massive relief to know what I need to do to correct it. 5 stars π" - Roby Reflexology
"I couldn’t recommend Lee more highly. My dog, Millie, had become very reactive to other dogs and was scared of her own shadow. After assessment, Lee recommended some intense residential training to try and desensitise her, particularly around other dogs. She has come on leaps and bounds. She is generally more confident and is now able to cope in most situations. She is a work in progress though and we are attending the weekly classes to continue with her training.
Lee has not only helped Millie to become a more confident dog, he has helped us to become more confident handlers. Through Lee’s support and guidance we have a calmer dog and calmer owners too!" - Jackie Anderson
"The Best around you won't go wrong with Lee. Straight forward training He's there to teach you not the dog Been going for a while the change in are dog is unbelievable he went from pulling like a train to A relaxed lead walk an sit and stay No matter what your dogs problem is Lee is the dog trainer to go to Highly Recommend" - Kevin Holden
"Lee is a fab dog trainer who knows his stuff, no nonsense he trains us to handle the dogs properly, my dog has only been going to the classed a few weeks but has vastly improved, she was pulling on walks an was sometimes reactive to other dogs, she is learning commands and responding well to them, I did some research before choosing a trainer an am so glad I did, my dog is a rescue who is 3 yrs old and background unknown, I've had her 6 months but in the few wks of training with Lee she is progressing well, Lee is always happy to answer any questions too, don't waste your time and money going elsewhere, this is your man I guarantee" - Debbie Burns
"Been struggling with some very specific resource guarding with my 2 year old Rottweiler, he became partially sighted at around 18 months old and, as well as the on going resource guarding concerns, started to become more reactive to other dogs and people when they approached from his blind side. Since attending Lee’s training he has become much less reactive around other dogs, his recall has improved significantly and our overall walks have just become more enjoyable. There is definitely still work to do around his resource guarding, but this is why I am still continuing to attend Lee’s classes. Could not recommend him enough!" - Lauren Jane Highton, St Helen's, Merseyside
"Since taking Bella for an assessment and subsequent training with Lee, she is like a different dog. She is much more confident, relaxed and well behaved. I can take her almost anywhere now, she was even well behaved in a busy veterinarian waiting room recently. I can’t recommend Lee or his methods highly enough" - Gail Denton
