Terms & Conditions

Client Responsibility and Liability Owner's Responsibility:
The owner remains fully responsible for their dog's actions, behaviour, and control at all times, including during sessions and in public areas.

Indemnification:
Clients often agree to indemnify the trainer for any personal injury or property damage caused by their dog.

Disclosure of Information:
Owners must fully and honestly disclose any behavioural issues (like aggression or reactivity), bite history, medical conditions, or legal matters (e.g., Dangerous Dog Act status) before training begins. Failure to do so can result in termination of services without a refund.

Supervision:

Clients are responsible for supervising any children or guests they bring to sessions.

No Guarantees:
The client acknowledges that there are no guarantees the dog will achieve a desired level of training, as results depend heavily on the owner's commitment and the dog's individual nature.

Health and Safety Vaccinations and Health:
Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations, de-worming, and flea treatments. The trainer may request proof and can refuse service if a dog appears unwell.

Muzzles/Equipment:
If a dog is known to bite or cause injury, it must wear a well-fitting muzzle if requested by the trainer. The owner is responsible for using well maintained equipment used during training.

Bitches in Season:
Females in season are generally not permitted in group classes, and clients must inform the trainer in advance.

Accident Reporting:
Any injuries or accidents must be reported to the trainer immediately.

Payment and Cancellation Payment Terms:
Payment is typically required in full upfront or by the first session to secure a booking.

Cancellation Policy:
A specific notice period (e.g., 48 hours) is usually required for re-arranging or cancelling a session to avoid a fee or forfeiture of payment.

Refunds:
Services are often non-refundable, though a partial refund may be offered in exceptional circumstances or if a class is cancelled by the trainer.

General Terms

The owner may agree to allow the trainer to use photos or videos of the dog for promotional or educational purposes.

Training plans and materials provided are typically for the client's sole use and not to be shared with third parties.

Right to Refuse Service:
Trainers reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at their discretion, particularly if the dog is deemed a danger or the client uses inappropriate behaviour.

Pet Insurance:
Clients are strongly recommended to have appropriate pet insurance, including third-party liability cover.
